I had the pleasure of working with Lauren on her Denver senior photos this past summer. We chose Colfax as something that has some edge and is a little different from the typical Rino senior photos that most kids seem to be doing these days. Colfax Ave. is awesome and offers a ton of different looks and colors that work great for senior photos in Denver.

Lauren did a great job with her outfits and we chose some fun backgrounds that brought out her personality and matched her vibe. We also used a cool vintage record store on Colfax. The city has so many options for photographers in Denver and I love exploring the city and finding new locations for photoshoots.

As I mentioned earlier, a lot of high school seniors are doing photoshoots in the Rino neighborhood, but there’s so much more in the city to get something unique. Colfax can be busy but it’s usually not as busy as something more downtown and we can usually find some spots that are a little more private. Parking is also usually easier than trying to park in Rino or downtown.

Some of my favorite spots on Colfax are the Bluebird Theater and the Lions Lair. They are two different spots that we’d have to drive to, but they offer some cool, gritty, and fun colors as a backdrop for your high school senior photos in Denver. I would suggest start at the Bluebird Theater and working our way down Colfax a little bit. There’s several blocks around the Bluebird with fun options and then we can drive to the Lions Lair area to finish up!
