I recently had the pleasure of working with two different realtor teams in Aspen, Colorado. This first team is the Engel Lansburgh team and we shot lifestyle photography in a stunning $16.9M Aspen home owned by Nancy Magoon. Honestly, the home was a little difficult to shoot in because every square inch of this house was covered with art, which can be a little distracting for portraits. But the artwork was amazing and we got some great photos to use! And the home had an awesome sculpture garden and views of the Elk Mountains around Snowmass.
I’ve been doing lifestyle photography for Douglas Elliman both in Denver and Aspen, Colorado for a couple of years. Their real estate teams are top notch and they always take me to the most interesting locations for shoots. I love getting up to the mountains and getting to shoot some of the most amazing homes in the Aspen area. And while I spend most of my time in Denver, I’ll never miss a chance to shoot some Aspen lifestyle photography.
We had so much fun on this shoot and Marian and Jen were awesome. They’ve been selling real estate in the Aspen area for over 20 years and they know their stuff! This is one of their biggest listings right now and the owner is an avid art collector (obviously). The owner, Nancy Magoon and her late husband Bob Magoon purchased the property in 1984 and built the 9,560 sq. ft. museum-like home to house their massive art collection. The collection features prehistoric pottery as well as originals from Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst. You can read more about the property here.
