As a Denver photographer, I get to work with a wide range of professionals who are building businesses and putting themselves out there. Lexi Valentine, a Denver-based real estate broker, showed up to her branding shoot with a clear sense of style and purpose — and it made for a standout session.
She brought two bold suits — one in bright pink, the other a clean, light blue — and both looked incredible in front of the camera. Sharp colors, strong posture, real confidence. That kind of wardrobe does a lot of heavy lifting, and it helped us create images that feel modern, approachable, and powerful all at once.
We shot at a staged home in the Berkeley neighborhood of Denver, and honestly, it was the perfect space. The house had great natural light, a modern kitchen, a warm living room, and a styled home office — everything we needed to tell a more complete story about who Lexi is and what she does. Having a space like that gave us options without needing to move around or overthink things.
Why Use a Staged Home for a Branding Shoot?
The location of a shoot matters — a lot. It sets the tone and adds context to the photos. A well-styled home brings a sense of professionalism, warmth, and intention that’s hard to fake. It gives you room to move, different looks to work with, and a more dynamic set of images in the end.
If you don’t have access to a space like that, I always recommend checking out Home Studio List. They offer access to curated homes across Denver that are available to rent by the hour. Whether you want clean and modern, rustic and cozy, or something in between — there’s something for every kind of brand.
“Okay, I finally got enough time to sit down because you blessed me with so many! These came out AMAZING!!! Thank you sooooo much!”
Building a Brand with Intention
This shoot with Lexi was a great reminder of what’s possible when everything clicks — the location, the outfits, and the vision all lined up. We walked away with a versatile set of photos she can use on her website, social media, email marketing, and anywhere else her brand shows up.
If you’re looking for Denver photographers who approach personal branding with intention — and who want your images to actually work for you — I’d love to talk. Let’s find the right location, plan the shoot, and build a set of images that helps you stand out.
PERSONAL BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHER
TIM GILLIES PHOTOGRAPHY
ABOUT ME & HOW I WORK
I’m Tim — a Denver-based photographer specializing in personal branding, senior portraits, family photos, and event photography. I’ve worked with small business owners, creatives, real estate professionals, national brands — and just about everything in between.
What ties all my work together is the approach: I focus on making people feel like themselves in front of the camera. No stiff poses. No overdone editing. Just solid, well-planned photography that feels natural, confident, and true to who you are.
I’m drawn to real connection and great light. I like clean design and working with people who take their work seriously — but don’t take themselves too seriously. Whether we’re shooting in a styled home, a downtown office, or up in the mountains, I’ll help guide the session so it feels collaborative and easy.
If you’re looking for more than just a few quick headshots — if you want brand photography that reflects your personality, your values, and your style — let’s talk.
